Diversity, Inclusion and the OPS

Created in 2008, the OPS Diversity Office is leading the OPS on a journey to becoming a more diverse, accessible and inclusive organization.

Together with all provincial government ministries and employees, we are helping to:

  4. 2. Build a healthy workplace free from harassment and discrimination

  6. 3. Reflect the public we serve at all levels of the OPS workforce

  8. 4. Respond to the needs of a diverse Ontario population


Our Vision and How we Get There

The OPS’ vision is to be a diverse, accessible and inclusive organization that delivers excellent public service and supports all employees to reach their full potential.

We are working on many different fronts to make that vision a reality. 

The OPS Diversity Strategy provides a roadmap for our journey toward inclusion and the OPS Multi-year Accessibility Plan describes how we will transform the OPS into a fully accessible organization.

Our annual reports, Be the Change (2010) and Toward Inclusion (2011), track our progress.

Our recognition as one of Canada’s Best Diversity Employers (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012) demonstrates our achievements.
