The Lean-Hunt Report
The Lean-Hunt Report, "Review of professional boxing in Ontario"
The Lean-Hunt Report was released to the public in spring 2004. The report was prepared by lawyer Ralph Lean and sportscaster Jim Hunt and its focus was on the economics of the industry; the market for boxing in Ontario; the effectiveness of the regulatory regime; and the health and safety of boxers.
Participants in the development of the report included former and current boxers, trainers, promoters, members of the media, and officials from boxing or athletic commissions in other jurisdictions.
The report contains recommendations which are under consideration.
